As usual, the Christmas holiday season has been a whirlwind of activity. We have had friends and family visiting and spending time with us. Regular trips to the hospital to see baby Chloe - she's doing fantastic, continuing to put on weight. I'm so thankful for having my Cochlear Implant working so well; without it, I would have been struggling to hear would not have been able to enjoy and participate in everything as much as I have. I'll be honest in saying that I haven't had the time to keep up with the AngelSounds and other rehab, but hopefully in the new year, I can get back on track. I have an appointment scheduled for next week with Dr G., my audiologist, but I don't expect many updates to the CI mapping - I'm hearing just fine.
I do have a "secret" project that I'm working on - something on the Internet that will serve as a resource for people interested in Cochlear Implants. It will have blogs, articles (if I can find people to write them), and a discussion forum to start with. I don't have much more to say at this point, but watch this space in 2016...
I wish all of you and your families a safe and prosperous 2016.
